This was done for a fan art contest over in hogwarts_elite where the prompt was to illustrate any location mentioned in the books. The only thing you couldn't do was use any characters (including statues and anyone's patronus). Here's mine:

This is an illustration I did of Pacey, lead singer of the band Fly-by Radio. My friends and I saw them a couple of weeks ago and were blown away at how good they were and the energy they brought to the place. Like every other guy, I was smitten by this beautiful rocker chick, ha ha ha. She sounded fantastic too! Anyway, after the show I told her that I was going to draw her and she said she was excited to see what I come up with.

DAMMIT, someone else got the bowling idea in before me, but it's nowhere as cool as mine! Argh...

Last night on Conan O'Brien, he talked about how he always dreamed about riding a zip line down the aisle and how cool and exhilarating it would be. He finally decided to do it and he confessed afterwards that it wasn't nearly as exciting as he thought it'd be. He did it one more time, but with a helmet that shot smoke out of the back, but it was still anti-climatic to him. He then asked for people to send in their ideas, art, and diagrams of how he can better use the zip line.

Man, I loved Sailor Moon when I was a kid and I still have a soft spot for it now. Anyway, this is a sketch that Jim Lee did at a con in Dublin, Ireland. I thought it was awesome to see him draw something manga, so I thought it'd be fun to color it. Excuse the quick and sloppy clean-up on the lineart, ha ha ha:





He said it was cool and to post it as a comment to the pic so that it could be a part of the thread! Made my day to get a compliment from such a talented artist and storyteller =)
