Conan O'Brien has made me laugh and kept me company for so long. Most artists know what a lonely existence it can often be when you're scribbling away past midnight while everyone else is asleep. I looked forward to Conan putting a smile on my face every night as I began winding down, and that's the best way to call it a night.
Even though he's simply moving to LA to take over The Tonight Show, it's still sad to see him leave NYC and say goodbye to everyone and everything that has been his world for the past 16 years. It's pretty much like graduating college after 16 years of school and moving onto the big job. I hoped that I'd get to see him in NYC, but now I'll have to "settle" for LA.
Hearing him choke up at the end was strange because he's pretty much always a huge goofball. I loved seeing sincerity like that. And I really wish I got a piece of the set.
( Some sketches and Gump as a pretty boy. Yep. )
